OPEN-PLAN KITCHEN AND DINING
Full kitchen facilities incl. dishwasher, built-in water filter, stove, microwave/ oven combo, fridge/ freezer, coffee machine. Large dining area with another dining setting outside on patio. Basic supplies provided such as salt & pepper, oil & vinegar, tea & coffee, sugar, milk on arrival, cleaning products etc.
LIVING AREA
Open-plan reverse-cycle air-conditioned area with one 3-seater and one 2-seater lounge, large flat-screen TV, large coffee table, DVD player, CD player, CD and DVD library, books, magazines, tourist information and brochures, board games, children's' toys, sudoku/crossword puzzle books, candles etc.
BEDROOMS
3 bedrooms: each equipped with their own reverse-cycle air-conditioning unit and furnished with a queen size bed (linen provided). Nice and bright each room has a window and sliding door leading out to the wrap-around patio (incl. curtains and shutters), desk, cupboard / wardrobe space. Main bedroom with TV and ensuite.
GARDEN AND WRAP-AROUND PATIO
Wheelchair / pram-friendly in all areas incl. driveway, garage and inside house. Large fully fenced yard, private and safe for children and dogs, flat enough to pitch a tent, totem tennis, balls, outdoor games provided, fireplace (BYO firewood), tropical plants and herbs (please help yourself).
BATHROOMS
Large wheelchair-friendly ensuite off the main bedroom, no threshold, no shower screen with toilet and vanity plus one large bathroom with shower and vanity and a separate WC with handwashing basin. Towels, bathmats, shampoo, soap, conditioner, hair dryer, cotton buds, q-tips, toilet paper provided
DLUG & LAUNDRY
DLUG with window and sliding door leading to yard, remote control roller door, shelving, brooms, vacuum cleaner, camping chairs, spare single camping bed, spare double air-mattress. Laundry with sink and front-loader washing machine, clothes dryer, laundry powder provided, clothes drying racks & pegs.
PET-FRIENDLY
Your furry friends are welcome inside and we provide 2 stainless steel bowls and dog towels. The yard is completely fenced with colourbond and timber fencing all around the property. The beach and both local restaurants are dog-friendly.
QUIET NEIGHBOURHOOD
Shellcot Street is a 'local traffic only' 40kmh street and very quiet. Situated right on the beach you have a path through 50m of native bushland to the sand. Toogoom means "Place of Rest" and that's what "Pacific Pearl" is all about: relax, enjoy, unwind
UNSPOILT DOG-FRIENDLY BEACH
7 km of clean beach with nature reserve all along it, walking distance to community park with BBQ and playground, boat ramp at Beelbie Creek and nature lover's paradise at O'Regan's Creek. The water is calm and safe for children and dogs and ideal for SUP's, kayaks, sailing, fishing, crabbing as the bay is protected by Fraser Island.
WHEELCHAIR / PRAM-FRIENDLY
The house was built with guests with mobility issues in mind and the ensuite has an open shower. All internal doors are 92cm wide and external doors from every room are sliding doors onto the patio that surrounds the house on all 4 sides. There are no steps at Pacific Pearl at all. From the driveway you can reach the wrap-around patio and the DLUG with no threshold.
ACTIVITIES
The beach is ideal for long walks, having a glass of wine at sunset, fishing at high tide, crabbing, pumping for yabbies, collecting driftwood and shells, swimming, SUPing and kayaking. Toogoom is home of an excellent mountain bike park with skills area, an oval with free basketball and tennis courts, boat ramp at Beelbi Creek and bird watching.
TOOGOOM FACILTITES
Corner shop/ take away, chemist, hair dresser and postal outlet 500m from the house. The boat ramp at Beelbi Creek and two beautiful restaurants (Goody's and Salty Squid) are 2.5 km away. RSL open on Friday nights with courtesy bus. Community Playground with BBQ and Fixter Park with BBQ within walking disctance.
